An Auditor is a special participant (usually an admin) with flexible, non-sequential access to ExecOnline programs. Auditors can:
Take an unlimited number of programs simultaneously.
View program segments in any order without being bound to the prescribed sequence.
However, unlike enrolled Students, Auditors do not complete the program for credit and are not eligible to earn graduation certificates or other formal credentials. This role is ideal for individuals who want to explore program content at their own pace without the constraints of formal progression or assessment.
To request Auditor access for a specific Learning Collection please contact your ExecOnline representative.
Additional FAQs related to Auditors:
Q: Can an Auditor become a full participant?
A: Yes, an Auditor can transition to a full participant role by enrolling in a specific program for credit. Please contact your account manager or support for more details.
Q: Are Auditors eligible for program completion benefits?
A: No, Auditors are not eligible for certificates of completion or other benefits tied to full program participation.
Q: How does Auditing differ from the standard ExecOnline experience?
A: Auditors enjoy more flexibility in content consumption but forego structured progression, formal assessments, and graduation credentials, focusing purely on self-directed learning.
Q: Is an Auditor the same as an Administrator?
A: No, an Auditor and an Administrator are different roles:
Auditor: A participant with access to explore Learning Collections flexibly, without earning graduation certificates.
Administrator: Someone with administrator rights within AdminStudio, allowing them to manage participants, Learning Collections, and reporting.
While admins are often also set up as auditors, this is not automatic.
Q: How do I know if I am already an Auditor?
A: You can check your auditor status in the "Learning Collection" drop-down menu.
Auditor Indicator: If you have auditor access, the word "Auditor" will appear in bold text next to the Learning Collection title.
No Label: If no label is present, you are provisioned as a student for that Learning Collection.

Q: Does Auditor access count towards my organization's license totals?
A: No, Auditors use a separate unpaid license and do not count towards the totals that your organization purchased for 'real' participants.
